Hi, I'm Léa.
I support organisations and leaders to develop more equitable and inclusive spaces. I help organisations not only recognise the importance of intersectionality but also integrate it into their culture, practices, and policies.
My professional journey began 20 years ago. I started working in the creative sector. I was driven by a mission: to transform organisations into inclusive spaces that celebrate diversity and foster engagement with varied communities, individuals, and creatives. I still firmly believe in the role of culture and creativity as powerful catalysts for societal change. So I use creativity to encourage courageous conversations about equity and inclusion.
Leadership
Throughout my career, I have held many leadership roles, bringing me great practical insights into how to foster inclusive workplaces.
I have:
- directed organisations with a turnover of £2M
- been the EDI lead for an award-winning law firm (Times Top 50 Employers for Gender Equality, 1,700 employees)
- held senior roles within the public sector, including for the Ministry of Culture in France
- served as a charity trustee
- been elected at national level within a trade union
I have also supported many EDI staff networks/ERG to grow and thrive. For example, I was the Chair of the LGBTQ+ Forum for Cornwall Council (3,000 staff and 500,000 residents).
Finally, for the past 6 years, I have been an advising Expert for the Creative Europe programme (European Union), supporting inclusive practices.
EDI consultant & Culture Change
Seeking to broaden my impact, I transitioned to working full-time on EDI (Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion), focusing on culture change. Initially, I joined a small consultancy specialising in race equity as a Culture Change Consultant. This allowed me to listen to and learn from many stories and life experiences across clients like the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust, Sue Ryder, SignHealth, and many others. We supported many leaders on their journey of change.
Then in 2023, I decided to set up my own EDI consultancy, supporting progressive organisations and leaders to create more inclusive and equitable spaces. My clients come from all shapes and sizes. These include private businesses like Akteos, LVMH, charities such as Citizens Advice, social enterprises like Engaged Communities CIC. I have also worked with Russel Group Universities such as the University of Exeter.
Impact
With all this experience, I support progressive organisations and leaders to create more equitable and inclusive spaces. I do that through research/audit projects, workshops, courses/training and bespoke support to get you there.
My work is data-driven, so we can identify your needs, priorities and measure your progress tangibly. Moreover, as part of this meaningful journey together, I facilitate courageous conversations in a kind and supportive environment. Finally, I bring an intersectional lens to everything I do, so we can drive the best impact possible.
This approach brings tangible outcomes to my clients: a better understanding of each other’s perspectives, increased innovation and productivity, and a culture where everyone feels valued and heard.
My work is also rooted in activism. I firmly believe that change is not a spectator game – we must actively engage, question the status quo, and champion everyone’s wellbeing to create true belonging for all. From my personal experience, I know that this road can be difficult, but with the right support, it’s worth it.
My lived experience
My work draws on my own lived experience as a white woman from a multicultural and low socioeconomic background. I am also a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community and an ally to other minorities.
As you can imagine, I understand firsthand the importance of intersectionality.
I am also interested in social mobility, what it means to be a white ally, and how to enable systemic changes to tackle inequalities.
Let’s make a difference together
I thrive on connecting people and collaborating on projects that matter. I’d be thrilled to hear from you. It can start with a question, a concern or simply the willingness to do better.
Let’s explore how we can make a difference and drive impact together.
