Why did I create this course?

My 15 years of experience working in the creative sector has shown me that we have to do better.

Despite our good intentions and interventions, our sector still has a long way to go to be more diverse and inclusive. We must commit to doing the work personally and at an organisational level.

This programme will empower you to make changes and help you find your next steps within your creative organisation. It’s all about walking the talk.

Coming from an intersectional perspective as an LGBTQ+ working-class woman from a multicultural background, I’ve personally navigated the complexities and challenges of the creative sector. This unique perspective has reinforced the importance of equity and inclusion for me.

Throughout my career, I’ve tirelessly championed equity, including through fighting poorly designed systems and toxic cultures, whilst trying my best to stand up for and with marginalised individuals. It’s been a journey of self-discovery, which I am happy to share and reflect on with others. So everyone can benefit from my successes but also my mistakes.

I have also driven change to create a more inclusive and equitable workplace for staff. I have also delivered inclusive programmes for and with our audiences.

Moreover, having directed cultural organisations, I deeply understand the intricacies of making space to prioritise and act on your EDI commitments. It’s not always easy but it’s worth it.

That’s why I created this course:

To give you the space to learn, reflect, and be more impactful, whilst staying relevant as a creative leader in today’s Britain

Q&A

Individuals who are committed to drive positive change, within a cultural organisation or creative business.

You can be the CEO/founder/director but you can also be in any other role where you can drive change. You can also be a freelancer. It’s not all about the job title, but as the course is focused on organisational change, I want to ensure you are in the right role internally to drive change. So you can make the most of this inclusive leadership programme.

Yes (but that’s not a requirement)!

If you have any concerns, feel free to get in touch with me.

I will also organise a one-to-one meeting with anyone interested in this programme to get a chance to talk about all this before the course starts. I want to ensure everyone has the best experience possible.

Yes, do not hesitate to contact me beforehand to discuss the details! In any case, I will organise a one-to-one meeting with anyone interested in the programme to ensure suitability.

In the past, I said no to some people, as I felt they would not fully benefit from this programme. Best to be honest with each other, don’t you think?

I have taken into consideration different learning styles. Thus, the resources provided are diverse. (e.g. there are videos or audio recordings, not everything is text-based.)

Happy to discuss any of your needs before the programme starts to ensure you have the best experience possible. So do not hesitate to tell me more in the registration form or discuss in our one-to-one.

Don’t worry: I have got your back. You will have access to the recordings from the missed session, and if needed, we can have a catch-up before the next session.

If this is the case, please contact me (hello@leaguzzo.com).

I’m happy to offer a different price for self-funded people, who cannot afford the full price. I want to ensure money is not a barrier to driving change and creating more equitable spaces.

I have however limited spaces at a reduced price, so contact me ASAP.

In summary, best to discuss together.
